TOMY Murdoch trains are nearly impossible for find in the United States. Adam wanted this engine so badly and the only place this battery operated train could be found was in China and the U.K. This particular TOMY Murcoch engine was sent to Adam via airmail from China. Included with the train is a coal car where the battery is stored and one freight car. The battery required is AA size. This train runs on trackmaster tracks and is beautifully colored.The train took about two weeks to arrive and the packaging had really nice stamps on it from China. Well worth the wait for sure. He is modeled after the British Railroads standard class 9F goods engine. At this time TOMY is the only company making Murdoch who includes two trucks.
